How do you use Credit card miles to fly on a airline? Where to find out more?

Boss has miles on his credit card said i could use them to fly from Tennessee to Mich. Never done this could someone explain. Thank you.|||If you find out what type of credit card (Capital One, AmEx, etc) you can go to their website and find out their policies for how many miles a ticket takes, etc. Typically, I call my cc company and they will also tell you over the phone (and sometimes book for you).
