Do credit card companies receive any insurance compensation when a credit card is filed in a bankruptcy?
My wife was an employee of a coffee shop who was given a company credit card. The company filed bankruptcy and the card was part of the bankruptcy. Now the bank is coming after her to pay the card off. We received a letter stating that they were withdrawing $2K from our checking account to put towards the card. If the company receives some insurance money for that card, can they also try to get more money from her?|||You need to contact an attorney. If the card was in the business' name and not your wife's name, I don't know how they can come after her to pay the debt that was incurred as legitimate business related expense and issued based on the business information and not your wife's personal credit.
